Accounting I is full year elective course. This course prepares students for entry level positions in accounting. Students study the nature of account balances, journalization and posting of business transactions. The accounting cycle, reconciliation of bank statements, ethical business practices, payroll, bad debts, depreciation, the three types of business ownership and the development of a working knowledge of spreadsheet analysis using the computer.

Accounting II

Accounting II is a full year elective course. This course prepares students for careers in accounting upon graduation. In addition, it prepares students to major in some aspects of business in college. Students study departmental and payroll accounting, updating accounts by adjustment, detailed partnership and corporation accounting, basic cost accounting, ethical business practices and the development of a working knowledge of spreadsheet software.
